Construction of artificial lake with geomembrane

Climate requirements of various geotechnical materials before construction:
A. The temperature is 5-40 ℃. Considering the thermal expansion and cold contraction of the geomembrane, according to experience, the laying of the geomembrane should be tight when the weather is cold, and it should be relaxed in hot days. However, it should be noted that the high temperature at noon should be avoided in summer.
B. Wind and rainy days: the construction shall be stopped when the wind force exceeds level 4 or on rainy days; when the wind speed is small, sand bags should be used to press the geomembrane and move forward in order to facilitate construction
The construction site quality meets the design requirements
The base surface shall be dry, compacted, flat, free from cracking, sharp and uneven. Its flatness should be gentle within the allowable range, with uniform slope and uniform slope thickness.
Specific requirements:
A. Personnel not related to laying shall not enter the construction site.
B. The method and equipment used for module laying must not damage the geomembrane or the geotextile and substrate under it.
C. Construction personnel must wear shoes that do not damage geotechnical materials during construction on site.
D. There must be sufficient ballast or anchorage to prevent the geomembrane from being blown up by the wind.
E. The geomembrane sheet shall be laid smoothly and tightly, and folds shall be reduced as far as possible. After laying, the sheet shall be ballasted or anchored in time.
F. Reasonable choice of laying direction, as far as possible to reduce the joint stress.
G. The position of each piece of material should be arranged reasonably to minimize the joints.
H. In the process of laying, any factors shall be prevented from damaging the geotechnical materials, and the laying tools shall not damage the geotechnical materials.
1. There shall be no transverse joints within 1.5m of the toe of the slope and on the slope with a slope greater than 10%.
Detailed rules for construction method of Geomembrane
1. Before laying the geomembrane, the corresponding acceptance certificate of civil engineering shall be provided.
2. Before cutting the film, the relevant size should be measured accurately, and then cut according to the actual situation. Generally, it is not suitable to cut according to the size shown in the figure. It should be numbered one by one and recorded in the special form in detail.
3. When laying geomembrane, try to minimize the welding seam, and try to save raw materials on the premise of ensuring the quality. At the same time, it is easy to guarantee the quality.
4. The lap width of joints between membranes is generally not less than 10cm, which usually makes the weld arrangement direction parallel to the maximum slope, that is, along the slope direction.
5. Generally in the corner and abnormal section, the joint length should be reduced as far as possible. Except for special requirements, no welding seam shall be set within 1.5m from the top slope or stress concentration area on the slope with a slope greater than 1:6.
6. During the laying of geomembrane, artificial folds should be avoided. When the temperature is low, it should be tightened and paved as far as possible.
7. After the geomembrane is laid, walking on the membrane surface and moving tools should be reduced as much as possible. Any object that can cause harm to HDPE membrane should not be placed on the membrane or carried on the membrane to avoid accidental damage to the membrane.
2、 Welding of Geomembrane
1. The welding process of hot wedge welding machine is divided into: adjust pressure, set temperature, set speed, weld lap inspection, film loading, and starting motor pressure welding.
2. There shall be no oil and dust at the joint, and there shall be no sediment and other debris on the joint surface of geomembrane. When there is debris, it must be cleaned before welding.
3. At the beginning of welding every day, a sample of 0.9mm × 0.3mm must be welded on site, and the lap width shall not be less than 10cm. The stripping and shearing tests shall be carried out on site with tensile machine. After the samples are qualified, the welding can be carried out with the speed, pressure and temperature adjusted at that time. The date, time and ambient temperature shall be indicated on the sample. In the welding process of hot wedge welding machine, it is necessary to pay attention to the operation of the welding machine at any time, and adjust the speed and temperature according to the actual situation on site.
4. The weld shall be neat and beautiful, and there shall be no sliding welding and jumping.
5. When the length of geomembrane is not enough, long direction splicing is needed. The transverse welding seam shall be welded first, and then the longitudinal joint. The transverse welding seam distance is more than 50cm, and it shall be T-shaped, and cross crossing is not allowed.
6. The adjacent geomembrane welds shall be staggered and overlapped as far as possible. The joints formed between membrane blocks shall be T-shaped and cross shaped as far as possible. Extrusion welding machine shall be used to strengthen the joint of longitudinal die to weld joint.
7. It is not allowed to press out dead fold when welding film. When laying geomembrane, the expansion deformation caused by temperature change shall be reserved according to the variation range of local temperature and the performance requirements of geomembrane.
8. When the temperature of the welding machine indicated by the temperature control of the portable welding machine is lower than 200 ℃, clean cloth or cotton yarn should be used to wipe off and then weld. If necessary, the welding machine should be polished again, and it is not allowed to wipe it by hand.
9. When the joint is affected by condensation, moisture and sediment, welding shall be conducted after treatment.
10. Welding shall not be carried out during rain or in case of moisture, dew, or heavy sand in the joint, unless protective measures are taken.
11. When the temperature is lower than 5 ℃, the construction shall not be carried out according to the specification requirements. If the construction must be carried out, the welding machine shall be preheated before welding.
12. During the welding process of extrusion welding machine, the slider of gun head should be checked frequently. When the wear is serious, the slider should be replaced in time to avoid damaging the film surface.
13. When the geomembrane is welded, the generator with good voltage stability should be used for power supply. In special cases, when local power is used, voltage stabilizer must be used.
