Gate water seal is also known as p-type rubber waterstop. The gate water seal is an important part of the gate of hydropower project, and is the key component to ensure the gate sealing and normal operation. The water seal material of the gate can be selected according to the specific conditions such as the height of the water head and the size of the orifice. Rubber gate water seal, also known as water stop rubber or water stop rubber, has the greatest advantages of good elasticity, strong adaptability to deformation, simple structure, tight and reliable water sealing, relatively economic, simple installation and replacement, aging resistance and long service life.

The rubber seal of sluice is produced according to the standard of gb18173.2-2000. According to the section shape, it can be divided into seven types: P, l, W, Ω, φ, V, u, etc. Each type can be divided into several groups.

There are two kinds of materials for rubber seals of sluice.

Type I gate water seal: natural rubber or natural rubber based material. Sf6674 is suitable for large engineering gate; sf6474 is suitable for medium and small engineering gate and expansion joint.

Type II gate water seal: synthetic rubber or synthetic rubber based material. It is suitable for engineering gate with a small amount of acid, alkali, oil or sea water in water.
